"You are only as 'good' as you were yesterday, so you had better try harder today",that's why I am the one in the BACK, muttering 'abandon all hope ye who enter here'. So, look BACK!!! But there's lots more about me; I just can't find it. And no, I don't mean furniture and beer glasses Forgive me for inserting an opinion at times, consider such intrusions, mere, malleable conclusions, subject to change. And I've changed many, but not though whimsy, fear, or in pursuit of power or cash, the sock stuffing of the truly, often unknowingly, impotent and deluded.

Use only as a baseline. Alleged. Now compare with the official, theatrical, White House (read Congress/Senate) spin. http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/fy2006/

And from the anti-patriot (read that as honest reporting) NY Times. The budget, war stuff (stuff is the correct term at this point), and general air in paper bags.

Here's a more experienced viewpoint, but not necessarily correct either. Remember you catastrophe films, evacuation, information, would cause more damage than informing the public masses as to the truth of the situation. Just try converting less than a million or so from dollars into Euros or whatever....the premium will kill you. You, being the small guy.

A bit extreme, and some disputable comments/facts, but essentially, we will lose the dollar as the basis of oil pricing, and the ramifications are beyond the average consumers, and most economists, comprehension. Basically, it's real bad. Just look at the food pricing nonsense and D.C. fake concerns with it going on now. Don't look at smoke. Oh, small effect on those who need not to work for a living.

Nominal per capita reflects the purchasing power THIS YEAR for the top 10 listed nations. Also, consider most of those, except the U.S., have universal health care. So, kiss the top 10 list goodbye, except on David Letterman. Thanks, great white fathers in D.C., and the major sucker state capitals, such as LA,CA,FL,NY, and especially NJ. Oh, and none of these countries has had any soldiers dying daily, except us. for many, many years. Many, many is a political word, since I didn't know the answer, didn't want to look it up, and wanted to make a point, I went to the dictionary of the pros of pro paganda. In response to some readers who remarked upon the disgruntled tones lately, and scorching calumny of men who do make a difference in Washington and other political centers, I pose you a question. Would you place a bet on the Superbowl, if Washington made the rules in the NFL, and enforced them? If 'yes', my apologies. And sympathy.

We lost steel dominance decades ago, as well as coal, oil close behind. Manufacturing next. But still plenty of new jobs in the future. Somewhere. In some field. Oh, forgot, the government is always hiring.
